As part of the project “Amputee Football in Tanzania“, Tanzanian amputee football players can enjoy a week-long coaching.
Simon Baker, General Secretary of the European Amputee Football Federation (EAFF), founder and former chairman of the Irish Amputee Football Association, and Coach Christy McElligott, UEFA B licence coach, former manager of the Irish amputee International Team and development officer for the Football Association of Ireland (FAI) were accompanied by Emma Mullan, videographer.
They were welcomed by the MoveAbility team with whom they prepared the training materials. They then met the players, who were looking forward to them, at Tanzania’s national stadium.
Simon Baker enthusiastically said: “So far it is just an amazing experience that we share with all the partners involved. We can see concretely that together anything is possible!”
