As of January 2017, the ICRC Special Fund for the Disabled becomes the ICRC MoveAbility Foundation.

To better reflect our identity and our work, we have rebranded and changed our name from the ICRC Special Fund for the Disabled to the ICRC MoveAbility Foundation. This new name emphasizes our efforts to enable persons with disabilities to regain their mobility, and our synergy with the Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement. Furthermore, our new visual identity is resolutely positive. Every day, we Move the Abilities of our partners to Move the Abilities of persons with disabilities.

On the occasion of last year’s appeal, we adopted a 3-year planning and budgeting cycle so that we could more easily draw up plans in accordance with our long-term commitment in the field. In line with this approach, which covers 2016 to 2018, we are presenting our plans and budget for 2017, as well as a few of our achievements from 2016, in this document. In particular, it has summaries of our seven major operations, which represent nearly 80% of our overall budget.

In 2017, we will support the development of the physical rehabilitation sector in 14 countries.
